Widely acknowledged as one of the leading metal working fluid supplier to the global aerospace industry, Houghton International has now become the newest members of the North West Aerospace Alliance (NWAA).
Already established as a core partner to many of the worlds largest and most prestigious aerospace manufacturers, membership to the NWAA is part of the Houghton International strategy to introduce its product lines to the UK aerospace supply chain. Houghton has invested heavily in staffing its R&D department with the most talented chemists in the industry. The result is worldwide approval from the majority aerospace OEMs, which is credit to the extensive product lines delivering industry leading performance and safety parameters.
Representing the aerospace industry across the North West of England, the NWAA represents 25% of the UK aero industry through its 220 member companies that account for a combined annual turnover beyond £7bn. The NWAA has developed extensive expertise through the delivery of £20m supply chain improvement programmes such as NATEP, ASCE and GAMMA. This close support and the integration of aerospace infrastructure programs with its members is an appealing prospect for Houghton International.
Commenting upon joining one of the UK’s most respected industry associations, Houghton International’s UK Business Development Manager, Mr Matthew Bartle comments: “As longstanding members of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC), we have developed and instigated change throughout the aerospace sector with regards to fluid management products and the associated fluid strategies. The reputation of the Houghton International brand and the unfathomable product lines available for industrial applications has made us the benchmark for this high-tech sector. Becoming members of the NWAA will enable us to network with the aerospace sector in the North West and demonstrate how the Houghton international brand can improve performance and productivity”.
