Biberach, 12th September 2017 – The Handtmann Group of Companies has sold Handtmann A-Punkt Automation GmbH and the foreign companies belonging to the division in the USA, Russia and China to the current Managing Director Armin Walther, within the framework of a management buyout. The workforce was informed of this today at an employee meeting at the corporate site in Baienfurt. The strategic step is intended to give A-Punkt Automation GmbH the best chance to record positive economic development and therefore to secure the long-term existence of this company.
The basis of this carefully considered decision was the great deal of trust in Armin Walther as a person as well as in the convincing concept for the future orientation of the company which he presented. It is based on measures such as a focus on the core business. Handtmann A-Punkt Automation GmbH has been one of the world’s leading manufacturers of 5-axis HSC/HPC machining centres for almost 30 years.
A-Punkt Automation GmbH will be able to respond more decisively to market requirements in the future
Due to the separation from the Handtmann Group of Companies, A-Punkt Automation GmbH will be able to operate with more agility than before, in an intensively competitive and dynamic environment.
“With the sale, we would like to give the company the opportunity to start on the path to a successful future, thus securing jobs in the long term. A-Punkt Automation GmbH has a sound operational and economic basis to enable it to face the challenges ahead.
