Houghton International plc has re-structured its UK sales division with the announcement that Matthew Bartle will take the reigns as the new UK Sales Director. The global leader in advanced metalworking fluids and services has created the new position to streamline and harmonise its business development and sales departments.

Acknowledged as the industry benchmark in fluid management and technology for the automotive, aerospace, mining, machinery, offshore and subcontract machining industries to name a few; the new structure at Houghton will create a synergy that will benefit both the customers and the internal divisions of Houghton in the future.

The new UK Sales Director joined Houghton in 2010 as a Technical Account Manager and Matt has since progressed his career within the company, taking on a number of key roles. In the last three years in his role as UK Business Development Manager, Matt’s professional performance has more than justified his promotion to the newly created Sales Director role.

Matt has an exceptional level of business development and sales experience and this will enable the new sales director to spearhead the internal re-structure that aims to create a greater synergy between the sales and business development departments.

Commenting upon his appointment, Mr Matthew Bartle says: “I am delighted to be given the opportunity to drive this strategy forward. Houghton International is a business that has been built upon the principles of developing groundbreaking fluid solutions and supporting these products with technical expertise that benefits the manufacturing industry worldwide. With the sales division working even closer with the business development and technical departments, the successful delivery of a world leading brand and its benefits can be further imparted upon the UK manufacturing sector. Houghton International is a key supplier and partner to OEM’s worldwide and our products are internally accredited by many of the world’s leading aerospace, automotive, food and consumer goods companies. Houghton will be aiming to educate and support the supply chain of these key sectors; delivering cost, efficiency and environmental benefits to the end users through effective fluid management programs.”
