Ellesco recorded its best month of sales in the Dorset-based company’s 42-year history during December 2017, closing out a very successful year and put it on a sound footing to continue growth during 2018.

Managing Director, Vincent Simonis puts the year-end success down to a number of factors among which is a positive outlook for UK manufacturing: “We saw some very good economic indicators as we came to the end of 2017 and while some of our success was down to ongoing projects being finalised, we also witnessed a number of orders being placed after quite short discussions with customers, who were seeing stronger than expected growth in their own output and needed to make investment decisions quickly in order to meet demand. This is all very positive for the UK economy and is indicative of the confidence that our customers have in Ellesco to deliver on our promises in an efficient manner.”

On the back of this confidence in the market Ellesco is also recruiting to strengthen its sales team, already in place is Richard Bennett, who joined the company towards the end of 2017. Richard brings with him extensive engineering experience, particularly marine propulsion and powertrain systems, where he has worked in both R&D roles and sales. “Richard has hit the ground running and the encouragement that this brings will see Ellesco making additional appointments to the sales team as 2018 progresses. With MACH 2018 just around the corner we have lots of new machine developments to unveil, so these really are exciting times for Ellesco,” says Vincent Simonis.

Ellesco will be at MACH 2018 on stand H20 – 740, where it will be unveiling several innovations from Timesavers and its other major partners, with visitors having the opportunity to discuss their specific requirements for deburring, polishing and finishing.
