Hawarden-based electrical engineering firm nominated in five categories in the 2018 North Wales Business Leader Awards

Hawarden electrical engineering firm LCA Group has been shortlisted in five categories in the prestigious 2018 North Wales Business Leaders Awards.

The firm, which has recently relocated to a state-of-the-art, multi-million-pound facility in North Wales, has made the final list in Company of the Year, Manufacturer of the Year, Technology Company of the Year and Innovative Business of the Year.

And Operations Director Paul Griffiths, who has been with the firm for more than 20 years and was instrumental in the move to Hawarden, has made the six-person shortlist for Business Leader of the Year.

LCA Group Managing Director, Alan Sheppard, said: “We’re delighted to have been shortlisted in so many categories. It really shows the strides we’re making as a business and how much we have achieved in the last year.

“Everyone at LCA Group is really excited about 2018 and beyond and this is the perfect way to kick off a new chapter in our story.

“We’re also really pleased for Paul to have been recognised in this way. There are some fantastic business leaders in North Wales and he absolutely deserves to be among them for the work he has put in, not just since we moved to the new site, but for the past 22 years.

“Much of what this business has become is a result of his vision and his hard work and he would be a very fitting winner of this award.”

Now in their second year, the North Wales Business Leader Awards celebrate the very best of business and entrepreneurship in North Wales.

They will be handed out on March 15 at a special dinner at Venue Cymru, in Llandudno.
